Almost a thousand feet above the Aegean Sea lie the remains of the city of Thira founded in the 11th century BC. Its history is vividly told in stone chiselled through the millennia by Doric, Ptolemaic and Roman craftsmen. It is a huge site whose theatre is a short walk from Kastelli Resort

Four km from Santorini's international airport. As you drive out from the airport you turn left on the main road going north towards Messaria village. After 1 km you turn left again driving all the way straight towards the village of Kamari, where the Resort is located.
