   We have the pleasure to welcome you to the island of Paros and with these pages we will give you an idea of what you can see and do on the island.

   You can enjoy walking around the small paved streets of Paroikia and visit the big church of Ekatontapiliani, the castle and the church of Ag. Konstantinos, the museum, the ancient cemetery (one of the oldest in Greece) and of course have a nice walk on the pier, among the fishermen and the colourful fishing boats.

   During late afternoon, you will have a chance to enjoy a sunset view, while drinking coffee or a nice cold drink in one of the many friendly bars on the main sea side road.

To get an even better sunset view, walk to the hill of Agia Anna and from the church yard you will enjoy the famous Aegean sunset.

If you feel romantic, step down to the sea shore where you will find the small church of Agios Yiannis Rantevoudiaris built inside the rocks. The name Rantevoudiaris comes from the fact that this place traditionally is a secret meeting place for young couples..  

   There are nice beaches in Paroikia, as Livadia, Krios, Marchelo, Kato yialos, Delfini, close to the centre.

   If you are a lover of history and Archaeological sights, Paroikia will be your Paradise. You can visit the Asklipieion, the Dilion, the famous quarries of Marathi….. The only thing you need is a comfortable pair of shoes, a hat and the will to walk!
