Paros / Paros Beach Guide

Agia Irini
The beach of Agia Irini is a nice and unique beach situated between Parikia and Punda (port). Agia Irine (St. Irene) is a sandy beach with many palm trees stretching all over the bay down to the water. It has two entrances that lead into two different bays. It's very quiet, with a restaurant (taverna) where you can enjoy refreshments and a nice lunch..

This is a description on how you can tour the islands beaches but do not forget to visit the centre of the island where you can find the villages of Lefkes and Kostos.

Golden Beach and Tsardakia
From Pounda to Golden Beach, there are many small beaches, but there is no easy way to access them. The known ones are Tsirdakia, Golden Beach and New Golden Beach. All are next to each other and easy to reach. Most known of all is Golden beach, where the world championship of windsurfing is organized every year.

You will find a couple of restaurants and nice accommodation here. Drios village is close by. It is the longest sandy beach in Paros but might not be a good choice on a windy day as the fine sand tends to blow very hard.

Kolymbithres, Monastery Beach, Agioi Anargyroi

From the port of Naoussa, small fishing boats depart everyday and every 10-15 min, to Kolymbithres beach and Monastery beach.

The first one is a nice organised sandy beach with crystal clear water, surrounded by big and mysterious (with strange shapes) stones. There is also a road that will lead you there, but only if you have your own transportation. There is a bus stop about 2.5-3 km away from the beach which is only advisable if you bring your own water.

It is preferable to use the boat which is inexpensive and returns around 20.00 in the evening and you will have all day to enjoy this beach.

Krios and Marchelo
For Krios and Marchelo, there are small charter boats that depart (next of the main port) every 15 min, starting around 09:00 till 19:00. The boats make a short stop in Krios, followed by Marchelo and then back.

Both are nice sandy beaches and you have a wonderful view of Paroikia port, with big and small boats coming and going from time to time. There are no umbrellas provided on these beaches so make sure to bring your own as well as water as the nearest facility for food and drink is at Krios Camping.

Livadia, Kato Gyalos, Delfini and Parasporos

In Livadia beach and Kato yialos, which are even closer to the centre, you can enjoy your swimming and choose among a big variety of restaurants and ouzeri.

In Delfini beach, which is a nice small (you can characterise it as a family beach) sandy beach, close to a hotel and a few restaurants. In one of these restaurants, during summer time, there are, each Sunday, live music nights, with jazz, regge etc...

It's a bit far from Parikia centre, approximately 2 km, but close to Parasporos beach, where there is an organised summer club with a small restaurant.

Logaras
Logaras beach is a very long sandy beach, awarded with the blue flag. Logaras is also a summer time suburb of Marpissa, and nobody stays there in the wintertime. In the summer though the picture is completely different. The beach is surrounded by nice restaurants, small hotels and other self catering accommodation.

A nice choice for families. The only thing is that the water suddenly becomes very deep.
Logaras is very close to Piso Livadi, you can even swim across or just walk to it. It's less that 5 minutes walk.

Punda Beach

From Logaras beach you can easily reach the famous "Pounda Beach". A tiny beach, but with an organised club that makes it the most crowed beach of Paros.

You can find a restaurant, music bar, swimming pool, ice cream and desert canteen, bowling game, pumping jumping games, sea water games - whatever you can imagine… It's a paradise. You can even go around the main road if you have a car or motorbike and it's only 2 km away from Logaras.
