Mykonos / Gay Mykonos

MYKONOS does not attract only gays, it is not a kind of homosexual ghetto. The reason why Mykonos is so popular, is not toleration but hospitality for all.

What you will do in Mykonos, is what you are - you can be drunk all day (all night, most probably, sleeping in daytime), or walk hand in hand with your lover, or enjoy the beautiful beaches scheduling your visit to the nearby island-museum of Delos, or... - whatever you want.

There is no need to search for gay friendly accommodation, all Mykonos hotels, villas and apartments are gay friendly. However, there are places you might like more for various reasons. Think of what you want in particular and ask Orbit to give you answers.

There are several bars and restaurants, offering from modern or  Ancient Greek recipies to Chinese or vegetarian food, in nice prices.
Bars play modern or older pop/rock and disco - but there are places with jazz or even classical music.
If you rent a car or a bike (recommended, since the roads are somehow narrow) you can find isolated beaches to enjoy your privacy.

The most celebrated gay-friendly beach in Mykonos (and the Mediterranean) is Super Paradise, where you can also bath nude. Busses and boats will take you there.
There are hotels or apartments near the beaches, but not always shops - don't forget to get anything you may need before you leave the old town.

Take heed: don't just book a flight and come to Mykonos - on high season it's difficult to find a room!
